FAQs

Delivery and Order Management
  • Orders are dispatched from the Clean Meals kitchen on Mondays. This means meals will be on your doorstep on Tuesdays.

  • For Tuesday deliveries, cut-off time is the Thursday prior at 6pm. This is the cut-off time for updating subscriptions and placing one-off orders to be delivered at the start of the week.

  • At this stage in the production, we are just sending subscriptions at the start of the week. Keep an eye out for subscription day selection in the near future!

  • Your box will arrive fully insulated with ice packs. We have carried out extensive testing to ensure your meals will stay cool until you can get to them. In saying that, it doesn’t hurt to get those meals into your fridge as soon as possible!

  • Unfortunately, at this stage, it is difficult to deliver to rural addresses. The meals will only last a certain amount of time out of the fridge so ordering rurally is at your own risk.

  • Please contact us directly at hello@cleanmeals.co.nz if your order doesn’t arrive. We will do our best to track down the package or provide an alternative solution. However, once the package leaves our kitchen, it is difficult for us to control the situation.

  • When the order leaves the kitchen and is with NZ Post, you will get a confirmation email that provides you with your tracking information. All orders will be delivered overnight so you will receive the meals the next day after receiving the email.

  • The minimum order for a Clean Meals delivery is $40.

Product and Quality
  • Your meals will stay fresh in the fridge for 7-10 days. They are best eaten as close to arrival as possible to ensure you get the freshest product.

Your meals can stay in the freezer for up to a month. Ensure they are eaten within 24 hours of being defrosted.

  • No. A Clean Meal is always fresh, never frozen. You may choose to freeze them if you don’t get round to eating them during the week, but we will only send out fresh meals made from fresh ingredients.

  • No. All meals are made fresh and sealed with a gas flush to keep them fresh till you’re ready to eat. We don’t use any preservatives to keep your meals fresh.

  • At Clean Meals, we do our best to sanitise and keep all surfaces clean after coming into contact with allergens. On each individual meal on the website menu, we have highlighted what allergens are present in the meals. We do our best to remove any added allergens, but we cannot guarantee the meals are completely free as they are made in a kitchen where the allergens are present in other products.

  • No. Due to the nature of our business, it is too difficult for us to change ingredients to suit each person. However, we are open to any feedback you may have about the ingredients in our meals.

Subscription and Payments
  • It’s simple! If you forget to change the meals in your subscription, it will simply roll over and the same meals will arrive as the week before.

  • Each subscription payment will come out the night before cut-off on Thursday at 11:59pm. All one-off orders will be charged at checkout.

  • If your payment fails, you will receive an email on Friday morning notifying you. Stripe allows one re-try 24 hours later. If this payment also fails, your subscription will be put on hold until you can update card details or get in touch with us.

  • To make changes to your subscription, log in to your account in the top right-hand corner of the website by clicking the person icon. From there, you can make any changes to your subscription including selecting your meals, updating your payment information, delivery address and more.

  • There are no fees for creating or cancelling a subscription.

  • Yes. When you sign up for a subscription, you sign up for a minimum of 2 weeks. After this, you are able to cancel your subscription at any time.

  • For any changes to your subscriptions, please log in to your account. Here, you pause or cancel your subscription as needed.

Additional Services and Information
